Collin Mindt completed his cross country season at the 3A State Championships on Saturday. Collin came in with a goal this season to make it there and put in a ton of hard work with his teammates Avery Smith and Theo Toler. Collin and Coach Graham sat down and made goals for the season and it was to place in the top half at the state meet. Goal Accomplished! Collin finished 94th of 233 on Saturday.

The improvements Collin has shown since his freshman year are huge. Collin transferred in from fellow GC8 school Central after his freshman year with a modest PR of 22:09. After a sophomore year at Springstead he was down to 18:33 and this year all the way down to 16:56, putting him 3rd in school history based on times. Collin put in a lot of miles and extra work in and now is setting his sites on breaking 16 for his senior season. He’s hungry and that’s all you can ask for.

The eagle boys will graduate two this year both joining the military. With five strong varsity returners they will look to fill the void left by the seniors and try to stay healthy to make a run at the state championship as a team next season.
